To Be a Patriot

4th Degree Patriot Project

If you wore the uniform of any of our Nation's Armed Services during War or Peacetime, we want your information to be included in our 4th Degree Patriot Project.  Download this form, fill it out, and email it back.  We are creating a list of patriots who are members of the 4th Degree.  If you know of a 4th Degree member who served but has passed away, honor him by submitting a page in his honor.  The form will create a special page of honor
which will then be sent back for verification before final inclusion in our project.  Feel free to download and pass it on to all veterans in your council.  This is for ALL veterans who are members of the 4th Degree.

To all veterans, thank you for your service.  We owe you an eternal debt of gratitude.

In Christ,
SK Neal Pizzano

Prayer for Religious Liberty

To be a patriot, means to defend our Constitution and to stand up for our liberties and freedoms given to us by God and recognized by our forefathers. Actively defending our rights makes us a patriot. Although some may go to greater lengths in the defense of our rights, taking action, not sitting idly by, is the first step.  Honoring those who defend our Constitution and our rights, is a way to recognize them as patriots, and is a step toward being patriotic ourselves. The most basic right for many of us is that of religious freedom; the freedom to worship however we want without the government telling us how to worship, or who to worship.

Currently, our religious freedom is being threatened by the government, the very government that originally promoted the idea that we all can worship freely the way we desire, and that they cannot prohibit the free exercise thereof.  Our Faithful leadership has asked that we all join in as patriots to defend the Constitution, and we can begin by spreading and reciting the Prayer for Religious Liberty.

O GOD OUR CREATOR,

From your provident hand we have received our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. You have called us as your people and given us the right and the duty to worship you, the only true God, and your Son, Jesus Christ.

Through the power and working of your Holy Spirit, you call us to live out our faith in the midst of the world, bringing the light and the saving truth of the Gospel to every corner of society.

We ask you to bless us in our vigilance for the gift of religious liberty. Give us the strength of mind and heart to readily defend our freedoms when they are threatened; give us the courage in making our voices heard on behalf of the rights of your Church and the freedom of conscience of all people of faith.

Grant, we pray, O heavenly Father, a clear and united voice to all your sons and daughters gathered in your Church in the decisive hour in the history of our nation, so that, with every trial withstood and every danger overcome- for the sake of our children, our grandchildren, and all who come after us- this great land will always be “one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen
